| DNA2 is a strange little tale. A mega-playboy has overpopulated the earth with his super-active raunchy type ways, and now an agent from that future has come back to alter his DNA and thus prevent the over population of the planet. Even setting aside the obvious logical problems of that premise (if she changes the future she won't have to come back, so the future won't be changed so she'll have to come back is the most obvious one, not to mention the possibility of Junta being her ancestor ) it's a fairly corny excuse to have a guy running around leching after women. The sting in the tale is that the DNA altering bullet Karin shoots him with is she wrong one, and it turns the hapless (and female-allergic) Junta into the very mega playboy she's come back to stop, but he only changed when he's faced with a romantic situation. So, a possible six months of hard labour for Karin for her failure, and an overpopulated Earth in the future. Thing is, Karin decides to stay in the past and set Junta up with his childhood sweetheart in order to tie him down and prevent his lustful lifestyle. ![]() What we end up with, after the story is set up, is a fruity comedy, and to be fair it's a jolly good one. As you may have gathered, I don't think much of the plot, but I don't think the creators did either. The characters and the comedy are where the effort went, and its paid off with fun, romantic and slightly hentai comedy that held my attention. Fun, and a contender for best theme tune next to the Lodoss TV series and Lain. 7/10 - Fun, flirty and harmless. I liked it anyway... Back to Menu |
