Awww, this is sugar coated harmless fun at its best! Reminiscent in some ways to the early days of Tenchi, this eminates the same feelgood factor, but introduces an alien concept to Tenchi - a romance that goes somewhere. Not for everyone, but finding out who gets who/doesn't get who and so on is great fun! The story centres around a huge space Bell that lands on Earth - the military are powerless against it, but as it seems to be doing nothing, it's ignored and considered part of everyday life. It's sphere probes roam the streets unheeded and in general it poses no threat. But that doesn't stop the head of the magic club, Takeo, wanting to destroy it for the good of the world. His club consists of three cute girls;  Sae, (pictured right) bubbleheaded and cute Nanaka, Sae's best friend and cute Akane, talented and cute ...and his vice president, the homosexual Aburatsubo. Together they train for the destruction of the Bell (even though Takeo hasn't a clue as to HOW) and trouble ensues. Further complications are thrown in by the Manga Club president Mizuha, who's mean spirit and large breasts foil Takeo at every turn. The description won't do it justice - it's full of romance, cuddly bears and humour, so anyone who's into any of that lot will love this to death! So all in all, a lovely, huggable series that lasts just long enough and actually has an ending. Great stuff! 10/10 - Sugar coated niceness ^_^ Back to Menu |
