This tape comprises two of the three Slayers Special OVAs, which follows the same time period as Slayers: The Motion Picture. The first episode, "The Scary Chimera Plan", features Lina involved in a mad alchemist's plot to create a super-chimera made from the Dragon Spooker herself, a Red Dragon, a sea serpent and a Lesser Mazoku. And to help him, he just so happens to have ten clones of Naga... This is a pretty funny episode with some good lines and some great scenes, such as Lina's super-chimera daydream and Naga (all eleven of them) coming to Lina's rescue. 
The second episode, "Jeffrey's Knighthood", involves Lina and Naga being
hired by a woman who wants her weedy, over-confident son to become a
member of the Royal Guard. It should be easy... shouldn't it?This is probably the funnier of the two. The "trials" Jeffrey goes through are fun, as well as some of the tactics employed by Lina and Naga to "help out". If you're looking for a good chuckle, this one's for you. 8/10 Back to Menu |
