"Z A K U"  R M S  H I  Z A C K

The Zaku has to be one of my favorite Mechs - it's not aesthetically pleasing, but its squat, heavy look makes it, to me at least, seem much more real than the elegant "good guy" Gundams.

The kit is of good quality, though it did take me a while to figure out what went where but that is, I suppose, one of the perils of not having a construction book to go by. The extra parts I used to add detail are from a myriad of tank and model kits, and some parts were custom built using plastic sheeting and Miliput.

Painting the kit was done with Citadel paints, as they are the best quality water based paints that I have come across, and are easy to mix to create the differing shades necessary for dry-brushing.

This kit was something of a laugh, and I never thought it would turn out as well as it did. I think this just goes to show the quality of the Bandai kits if I was able to produce this from a box of assorted spare parts.

8/10, just for the fun value alone.

The Kit was purchased from www.hlj.com
