Bandai have this series of kits nailed. Every single master grade kit I have made has been a delight, and this is no exception.

From the start of the Gundam TV series, the Zaku kits outsold the Gundam kits by an over 2:1 ratio. Let's face it -- the Zaku is cooler looking. The level of detail is superb, and virtually everything moves. The pipes running from the thighs to the calves, as well as around the sides of the head are flexible springs covered with plastic tubes. The head has a panel that opens and a small tab on the back of the head lets you position the Zaku's scanner eye, one of the many little hatches and extra details and other assorted opening bits. Like most MG Kits, if you really felt like it, you could remove the armour and have a mech ‘skeleton’ of hydraulics…which is very useful for dioramas.

The kit comes with various extras, including hand held weapons, rocket packs for the legs, and teeny tiny pilot figures, also some rather amusing 'cracker' space grenades... I wont comment on those...

The kit is fantastic, the transfers are fantastic, the articulation is fantastic, the attention to detail is mind blowing, and all in all, if you are an ambitious modeler, and are willing to spend a little time getting the kits just right, then I recommend the MG series of kits, any of them, no matter the series.

10/10, fantastic, nuff said.
