Actually, I purposefully avoided saying anything in those VA threads, even though I read them many times. I suppose I'm part of the Moody Bastard brigade too, but that's just the way the cookie crumbles.

being 'moody' implies that you change moods easily. i'm a cynical git 100% of the time, so i guess i'm not in the Moody Bastards Guild!

How about, relax a little? We all enjoy the boards and everyone enjoys the odd silly post and useless little rant or bitchery. I think it's nice to have but obviously it's okay for it to be moderated if it's too harsh or gets way out of line.

That's how I see it at least.

Since it is pretty bloody obvious that GrantM is a troll. Since he has been on hundreds of forums doing the same bloody thing, having the same effect.

Why is he even still here?

http://www.encyclopediadramatica.com/index.php/GrantM

Sorry, when someone continues to post the same question over and over again, and brings out the worst (but REALLY funny) in people, then why is he still here? Deleting posts won't help much, as this has to be the third/forth time it has been done now.

Yes, ban GrantM PLEASE. Even out of the VA forum he just tries to turn every single thread into a conversation about him, or the anime industry, or a not-so-subtle attempt at getting contacts. It's disrespectful, that's what it is!

And guys, please stop going on at Jump and just tone it down a little. I requested this thread in the first place, because I for one was fed up of the constant bitching. I know, I wasn't innocent of it either, but it's much easier to ignore someone till they go away, or quietly report your complaints to a Mod, when everyone else is doing it too. That way, the forum is free of arguments and insults, but the idiots aren't getting fuelled with any attention.

Jump can't please everybody, and the fairest way to handle it is to delete all flaming and stupid posts, not just one or the other, but then all the abuse comes her way for just trying to keep the peace, and that's terribly unfair.

I for one ignore the posts that don't interest me, so GrantM hasn't been a thorn in my side, but I understand that he can wind people up.

Imagine this: He posts a thread, no one replies. He posts in someone elses thread, he gets ignored.

No one gets hurt, he'll bugger off somewhere else where people bite.

Ignorance is bliss.

On a wider scale, and I've said this before, the Mods and Admins in this forum are the law. I think they do an excellent job in my absence, and were it not for their commitment this place wouldn't exist. So be nice.

Dude I'm with you. I've tried to be reasonable, patient and constructive in a way to help him get out of his mess, but just now it went horribly, terribly wrong... I feel bad for talking to someone like that!

Never got this serious toward anyone before on any forum ever, but it's so hard to resist responding! Je suis baka!

i try to drag the thread back on-topic occasionally but quite early on decided the best course of action with the likes of Grant was just to ignore him until he posts something constructive. getting into an argument makes the mods' job more difficult because they have to scroll through zillions of posts (which is why my own forum does not tolerate 'smiley wars' any more).

It's a bit silly to join up on new forums using the same username with a reputation like that...

Anyway, it seems that everyone who was going to get the point has got it, everyone who wanted to bitch about the point has bitched, and everyone who wanted to miss the point did so amazingly well.
