Default [Video] UKA TV Episode 02

It's taken far long than I wanted, but here it is finally, UKA TV Episode 02

http://www.uk-anime.net/articles/UKA_TV_Episode_02.html

This episode we look at The Sky Crawlers, Romeo x Juliet and take a trip down memory lane with Cowboy Bebop.

We also take a look at two hot new shows currently airing in Japan, look at the more interesting news of the month and look at games Final Fantasy XIII, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Crystal Bearer, Star Ocean: The Last Hope International and Disgaea 2: Dark Hero Days.

Also we have a competition for a chance to win Cowboy Beop: Complete Collection on DVD.

As usual comments are welcome and I've tried to take onboard comments from the last episode. Going to try some new stuff in episode three, but as always, constructive criticism is welcome.

I think trav deserves a virtual round of applause for all his blood, sweat and tears (mostly tears, by all accounts ) in putting this together!

Have watched it through now, very nice indeed. I know we had issues with volume levels on my bit, but the one bit of feedback I'd give (and someone else mentioned it to me too funnily enough) is that perhaps the background audio/music level is a little high throughout. I know it's a tough balancing act, but it does drown out the voice-over, or at least detract from it a little, on occasion.

Otherwise, good stuff!

That's a fair point... it's getting the right balance like you say. Will try and standise it through the next one.

Can you remember which section it was that there were issues. What was being talked about / reviewed?

4:30 - 7:37
Its the Sora no Woto and Durarara! section exclusively that the audio sounded a bit muffled/lower quality then the rest. Im guessing the segments were recorded separately.

Yep, that was the section I recorded where we had a bit more trouble normalising the audio, so it did sound a little muddier.

The issue seems to be during the So-WO and DURRRRA sections. The stereo soudn mix switches to having anime in oen ear and muffled loud Matt in the other.

That section was recorded by Andy. We just need to match up the recordings from two different set ups better.

I've actually invested in a proper podcasting/voice recording mic this weekend, so things should be easier next time around.
