It's that time again, as a new anime season rolls around. What series are you looking forward to from the bumper selection coming our way over the next few months? |

Well,
Optimistic list at best (especially considering my progress with the Winter season) but here goes!
Bet you anything, I barely manage two of them >_<. Depends what CR have streaming...

Protag of Accelworld looks like Eric Cartman
Acchi Kocchi looks quite nice for a throwaway series, certainly the artwork is at least nice. Really looking forward to Haiyore Nyaruko, been waiting for this to appear for a while now. Deredere moe-Cthulu should be awesome. Hyouka sounds... really quite uninteresting. I'll watch it because Kyoani are doing it, but another coming-of-age after-school club series? I'd rather they did Haruhi S3. Jormungand should be fine for mindless action, though I'm not digging the art style (the manga looked better). The story for it isn't that great, but hopefully the animation studio will breathe new life into it. Kore Zombie S2 I am really looking forward to, I loved the first series and hope the second will be similarly entertaining. Natsuiro no Kiseki looks nice enough with the Index artstyle, probably won't be ground breaking but should be pleasant to watch. I am reliably informed that the manga of Nazo no Kanojo X is actually quite awesome, so I'll be checking that out. It certainly has a nice retro 90s artstyle going for it which makes a pleasant change. I will check out Sankarea, I'm not expecting much from it but if it's a decent comedy series that'll be fine. Upotte I am looking forward to - seeing that it's an ONA do we know where it will be airing and if there will be official subs? |

Going to have to keep an eye on stuff coming out of Singapore. Visually Arashi no Yoru ni is one of the most interesting things on the list.
Very interested in the new Lupin series as there's not been one for decades. There's little to go off at the moment, but am hoping it'll not disappoint as quality can very massively between attempts. Will be interested in the Rock Lee series so long as they don't let it go beyond 26 episdoes, lol. Shirokuma Café looks fun. :3 The Nadia re-issue bodes well for maybe a Blu-Ray box set in the future. If they could edit down a couple of those island episodes it'd be a real keeper. I'm doing quite well for once with the Winter Season, and there seems to be a fair amount of stuff I think I might enjoy.
Acchi Kocchi - 4-Panel adaptations can be hit and miss, but I usually find them giggleworthy Eureka Seven AO - I haven't seen Eureka Seven, but considering it gets lots of praise, may as well watch this. Fushigi no Umi no Nadia - Digital Remaster- A "classic" series I haven't seen, but as it's getting a nice update, why not? Haiyore! Nyaruko-san - I'm positive this is just a series version of "Haiyoru! Nyaru-Ani", which I found hilarious, so definitely looking forward to it. Hyouka - I love KyoAni so seems reasonable that I should expect to enjoy this. Kimi to Boku - Season Two - First season was very enjoyable, roll on season two. Koi-ken! - Dating sim adaptation? Generic? Sign me up! Medaka Box - Not sure, just want to give it a shot considering it's got expectations. Natsuiro no Kiseki - Sphere are awesome, therefore this should be. Should. Saki: Achiga-hen episode of side-A - Prepared for horrific disappointment, due to it not concluding anything from the first series, and doesn't have Saki in it even though it's still called Saki. But whatever. Shiba Inuko-san - I'll check out an episode or two to see if it can make me laugh. Shirokuma Café - Pandas and Polar Bears don't need explanations. Upotte!! - Generic with fanservice, sure why not. I need something fanservice-y otherwise I don't feel like I'm watching anime. |

Going to wait and see how bad Haiyore! Nyaruko-san is before commiting myself
Difficult to tell anything about Hyouka from the trailer but I'm going to check it out The makers of Steins;Gate did Jormungand so I'll see the first episode out of loyalty... Kimi to Boku is going to be great as long as it sticks to the formula I'll check Weirdo's review of Nazo no Kanojo X before risking it! I suspect that Ozuma might be the big surprise of the season... Sold on Sakamichi no Apollon already Shirokuma Café sounds suitably bizarre, Tasogare Otome x Amnesia may be a tad fan service for me but looks gorgeous, Uchuu Kyoudai has an interesting premise whilst I'm still enthusiastic about the Another OVA... enthusiastic...ish |
