The sites are also down. Apparently RBS is looking to buy a stake, and Price Waterhouse Cooper are dealing with administration. All the layoff notices will go out today as well, so I guess the next 48 hours will determine if there are any serious offers in the wings.

Some more details:
277 shops closed as of today
2,104 staff members to be made redundant this week

333 stores will remain open, with 2,814 jobs safe. For now.

Wonder if either of the Harrogate stores survived? That's a town that really needs all the stores it can get; the number of businesses being replaced by cash generators there is genuinely depressing.

Well, Altrincham is listed as closed. Annoyingly I forgot to visit the shop whilst buying Vodka and Skittles, but I'm assuming they were just closed without notice?

Really, really surprised that of all the Birmingham GAME group stores, it was the GAME in Bullring that has stayed open (so far). The Gamestation on New Street was ALWAYS heaving and just generally a better store, and the rent was cheaper for that unit (have friends working in both, hence knowing that).

I've got 4 stores near me (2 in town, 2 in a shopping centre). Just 1 closure out of them so far I think judging by the lists I'm seeing...

Chilli Vodka sounds revolting. I don't really like either ingredient, so I can only assume it would lead to many not-so-manly tears.

The thing I never understood about Game was the amount of shops. In Manchester there were 2 in the Arndale, 1 in Selfridges, 1 in Comet, not to mention all the Gamestations, that's about 6 shops within 20mins of each other? Daft...

also, Jolly Rancher Vodka, just drop them in, stick in freezer, boom, instant enjoyment.

Chilli vodka's special, used to be a birthday challenge amongst my friends to keep it down. Very few managed it, I'm proud to be one of them.

And 2 in the Trafford Centre, within 30 seconds walking distance of each other. It was silly, and they both had different prices :/

In other newss, i've sorted the skittles into colours. Only short on reds (for the measurements I have), but it doesn't matter too much
