I could read the disc fine, I could load the video files fine, but the menus didn't work...

Did you have Speedmenu turned on? It should strip the crappy Java menu's and replace them with it's own slimline menus.

I haven't yet managed to get this working tbh... I have it enabled, but not seen it actually work.

Think PotPlayer might be mucking things up...
