Great idea, just don't follow the business model from Japan too closely - very few people in the UK will be willing to pay those kind of prices....

Oooh, looks like you have something good going here. Just follow what latro says about the buisness model...

I would definitely visit but I live no where near Manchester unfortunately.

To clarify, are you planning to open an actual cafe, or are you putting together a group of maids to work at events (it isn't clear from your FB page)?

For the last couple of days, I've been working at Teacup in the Northern Quarter (helping out with this) and they've been pretty busy, so there's no lack of interest in drinking tea in Manchester!

We'd definitely be interested in using your services for the Doki Doki Festival next year (the date has now been confirmed as 9 November 2013).

You may want to get in contact with Tako at Sweet Octopus -- she's Manchester-based and import cakes from Japan and also runs Japanese events, so there may be an opportunity for collaboration there.

I'll promote it via NanimeW and Doki Doki when I have some spare time (too busy today...!).

Where about will you be based? I'm often going to Manchester and as long as cupcakes are on the menu I'll definitely be there!

Well we're planning to set up an actual cafe eventually but we're just doing events at the moment as funding is low ! It's good for practice and such and to get more known so that when we do open up we will already have an audience ^^

Figured I'd bump this for them with the event they're hosting in Manchester that me and some friends are attending

Quote:
Hello everyone this will be our very first event
As it is A very small event we will be selling tickets to get in and reserve your place which you can find here -

http://sweetcupcakemaids.wix.com/swe...pcoming-events

the tickets are £5 and will include admission and food whilst inside, Once you have purchased a ticket We will send you a confirmation E-mail to say that we have received it and to let you know that everything is ok ( this wont be right away whenever we're next online as it's not machine automated) .Please bring some form of I'd with your name on the day just in case any issues arise , thanks

If you do not use paypal and have a suggestion for another method that you'd prefer to reserve a spot then please tell me and I will see what I can do

The event is about 20 Minutes by train from ,Manchester stations to Birchwood so it's not that far but next time we will get it a little closer! It's a minutes walk from Birchwood train station so don't worry about finding it !

The event will have a "picnic/summer theme " ( don't worry it's indoors x3) we just thought it'd be lovely to decorate the room with summery goodies and such so if you have a themed outfit you want to come in that's also fine

There are very limited spaces so be sure to get them why you can . We look forward to seeing you there !
