It seems like a number of old classics will be getting a new airing in the near future... |

Can't be any worse than the last attempt I suppose. I still can't believe how popular this series is.

This. It could be a proper film, or one of those 45-50 minute jobs. Also no idea from what time period it could be from as the series covers 40-odd years from Goku as a kid onwards...

Double post - More info here: http://www.animenewsnetwork.co.uk/ne...on-ball-z-film
Looking at the characters on show there, it looks like they'll be going from quite late into the series. |

We can all breathe a sigh of relief, it's animated.

I feel out of the loop with all things Dragon ball (Z) considering I lost interest soon after the Cell Games, and I didn't like what I saw of the original (though I'll admit I didn't really give it a chance).
That said I probably wouldn't mind seeing this. |

I'll try and watch it at some point from the start. It's worth giving it a "proper" go. |

You'd spend roughly the same price getting the manga as you would getting the whole thing on DVD, (considering most stores do the whole 'buy 2 get 1 free' deal). The anime is chock full of filler, padded out scenes, poor animation days, it's really just lost all charm for me.
I think if you wanted to get into Dragon Ball back when it was airing weekly on TV for free, then a great way to get into it is via the anime... but these days.... I dunno man. |
