Default Japanese anime and live-action films on UK TV

Thought I'd create a new thread for this.

Friday 13 November 2009, Film4:
10:40pm - Death Note

Saturday 14 November 2009, Film4:
1:05am - Death Note: The Last Name

Sunday 15 November 2009, Film4:
11:20pm - Zatoichi

Monday 16 November 2009, Film4:
11:15pm - Memories Of Matsuko

Wednesday 18 November 2009, Film4:
10:40pm - Tokyo Sonata

I'm not bothered by the Death Note films. Zatoichi and Tokyo Sonata are worth watching if you haven't seen them (or rewatching if you have!). I haven't seen Memories Of Matsuko, so may try and catch it, as it's by the same director as Kamikaze Girls.

Add to the thread if you know of any Japanese anime or live-action films being shown on UK TV.

Good work my man. Zatoichi is indeed fantastic. I haven't seen Memories of Matsuko or Tokyo Sonata but they're on too late. I couldn't watch Kamikaze Girls for the same reason.

Thanks happosai. Having seen Memories of Matsuko before I can say the film is well worth watching. Looking forward to Tokyo Sonata.

Note that the post above about MoM is from last year...! (It is available on DVD in the UK, though.)

D'oh! Should have looked at the date. Thanks. I'll definitely look for the dvd next time I'm in HMV or Fopp.

Being new I'd like my first post to be of some use, there are a few Japanese films coming up over the Christmas period on Film4 according to TVGuides.co.uk:

Zatoichi: Tonight 1:30am-3:45am
Kamikaze Girls: Christmas Day 1:40am-3:40am
Memories of Matsuko: Dec 29th 12:55am-3:35am
Kiki's Delivery Service: Jan 3rd 11am-1.05pm

I listed films aired in the early hours on the page they appeared not the true date.

Love Zatoichi (I'm assuming it's the Takeshi Kitano version) and Kiki, not seen the others though. Any good?
