Default iPhone Owners thread

Ok so I know many of us here have iPhones, so I was thinking we could do with a thread to share tips, which apps are worth having, wallpapers etc.

I'll start

My most useful app, other than the usual social networking ones, is probably 1Password. Other than that I find skobbler's pretty good for Sat Nav. find-dvd & find-games are handy for price comparison on the go. I also get a lot of use from apps specifically created for my amp, NAS etc. but they're not much use unless you have the same kit .

My current wallpaper/lock screen are:

I'll post more as I think of them

My phone is on Orange, which doesn't support visual messaging (i.e. that function whereby you can view voicemails individually and play them back in any order). To that end, there's a very useful app called Hullomail which will replicate the function on any network.

Air Video allows me to stream all my video content to my phone across the WAN, which is pretty cool ^_^

Vouchercloud is a great app, especially if you're out and about looking for a meal - it uses your location and pulls up any offers available in your area.

Beejive IM is a great instant messaging app.

London City is a great Tube Map - it looks up any line closures and will route you to your destination in the fastest time possible. Saved my ass on a number of occasions.

I've used Tube Deluxe for underground/DLR trips in London, but to be honest the latest version has overly complicated a nice, simple app by adding in loads of other transport networks.

Yeah only O2 do VVM, I shall have to checkout Hullomail. Can't seem to find those Tube apps in the app store? They sound handy.

"Meebo" is a pretty cool IM client that supports a range of popular clients (Google talk, ICQ, Facebook Windows Live etc).

"Star Chart" is a nifty star gazer app for looking up stars/planets in the sky. You hold your phone up to the sky and it positions itself pretty accurately with the built in gyro.

"Optima Guitar Tuner" Does what it says on the tin. A very handy and accurate tuner when you're on the go.

Alarm Clock Plus (by MobileTrends Inc) is an excellent alarm program. I hate the default iphone tones and this one allows you to customise a playlist tunes from your phone. There are loads of apps that do the same thing but the ones I tried either weren't reliable (pretty important for an alarm app) or required you to leave your phone on 'loud' for the custom tunes to play. This one, you can put on vibrate and it still plays the custom playlist. You just have to make sure you start the app up before you sleep.
