I mean Really Is Blu-ray for niche anime over in America so much more profitable, they even seem to be getting about 4 times the content that funimation are getting. Where does all the money come from?

No dub means it's cheaper to produce, back in the ADV days it was parterships with ARM and Sojitz that saw them acquire titles en mass, since I don't believe they're partnered with anyone at the moment I'm assuming Greenfield and co have gone back to what made ADV a success in the early days.

It's certainly cheaper to license anime now than it was in the "boom" days for the most part, and as mentioned not dubbing shows makes producing releases far cheaper. I guess it'll be a few years before we really get to see whether their current strategy is genius or folly though.
