The BFI's June anime line-up unveiled - does any of it catch anyone's eye? |

Is there no review of From Up On Poppy Hill on the site then?

Looks like I'll be in London instead of the Download Festival then
That's a great lineup. Happy to see Gintama The Movie on there too, love the series! |

I was at Kitacon the weekend it screened in London, so I couldn't make it there to check it out. Sadly, I probably won't be free for this BFI weekend to see it either!

I think there's a good chance I'll attend this as the lineup is very appealing.
I mean the films, I should clarify, though I'm sure you're all lovely people. |

I'm contemplating Full Metal Alchemist...
It's kinda hard to get me to part with my money when it comes to going to the cinema but I think this might just be winning me over.

Tickets went on sale today; who's going? Megalomaniac and I will be at every film except Akira, with Kumadori joining us on the Friday and Saturday.

I'd like to see A Letter to Mono and Princess and the Pilot. Akira would be awesome on the big screen I reckon.
All three are in the same screen on the same day so they don't clash...the question is, can I be bothered to pay silly money to get all the way to London for just one day, even though there are three films on...? |

Yay, tickets. That's the important bit sorted. Now I just need transport & somewhere to sleep.

I wasn't planning to go and I'm having to try and squeeze it horribly into my schedule, but it looks like I'll now be there on Friday for From Up On Poppy Hill and The Sacred Star of Milos, mostly because we've been offered some interview time with Kazuya Murata and Masahiko Minami!

On the off chance that you don't have fancy-pants website correspondent seats in the section with the free booze served by Geisha, come and sit with us around seats H21-25.

Heh, no fancy-pants seat for me - I've already booked tickets near to (or at) the back for both movies.
