Oh god no. Stop flogging the dead horse already, let us remember the good times before it was ruined.

Hasn't stopped them with Doctor Who. Or the Simpsons. Or Star Trek. Or......

But it went downhill after series 3...

I would have said a firm "nope" had I not watched the trailer but yeah, it does look promising from that little teaser. It's just a bit sad because Rimmer looks so... old.

They're back in front of a live audience if memory serves. Makes a lot of difference. Cautiously optimistic.

Cynicism swept aside by trailer. Nay hype but yay hope.

I thought episode 1 was good. Perfectly watchable, fun and I look forward to the next.

Yay! \o/

I've been going through my RD DVDs, so will wait until I've finished those (a house move has got in the way) before taking a look at the new series.

Loved it! A little slapsticky but absolutely back on form after that Back to Earth debacle. The only flaw was that the signal wasn't too brilliant last night but thats because digital TV is crap and only made me pre-order the blu-ray faster!

It was remarkably not bad. not fantastic but really rather ok.

it was so not at all bad it made one of my old school freinds contact me on face book and ask to meet up so we could watch episode two together while having a drink.

That's about as not bad at all as you can get.

I'll agree that it was very enjoyable with some very funny moments (Rimmer's reaction to his test results was a highlight and Lister's comment on needing to complain was brilliant). Next week's episode looks pretty great as well, judging from the trailer. I'm happily looking forward to it.

I watch the first episode of series ten yesterday; it was a lot better than I'd expected; I'm glad they have returned to just having the core characters. I particularly liked the recurring Swedish moose gag!
