Pretty much the only resource you'll ever need for wallpapers and Japanese scans of a high quality. If you want the really hi-res items you'll have to pay (a paltry $10 will get you enough to last years)

One of the oldest and most respected UK sites, Britanime is a mecca for information about UK fandom, with news, information on clubs throughout the UK and convention news aplenty.
Excellent news site with plenty of up to the minute reports and reviews.
Very comprehensive, it has some lovely scans from some hard to find series.
Beez have released some massive titles in the UK, including Haruhi, Gundam SEED and Mai HiME. Their website has UK news, information on their titles and a forum (scroll down for the English area).
The longest established UK Anime distributor, and with an eye toward fan favourites and monster hits such as Bleach, Ghost in the Shell and Death Note. The website has loads of videos and information on all their releases.
