Right Stuf to release first three volumes of Hetalia: Axis Powers manga

The demise of manga publisher Tokyopop has seen the premature demise of a number of manga series in terms of their English language releases, and perhaps one of the more keenly felt in the midst of that list is Hetalia: Axis Powers, a Tokyopop title which only saw its first two volumes released.

If you're a fan of the series however, some good news is at hand with confirmation that American distributor Right Stuf, in conjunction with both Tokyopop and Gentosha Comics (the original Japanese publisher of the series), will be releasing the first three volumes of the series in English.

The third volume of this series will be released in full (colour inserts and all) by Right Stuf in June, together with reprints via a print on demand service of volumes one and two of the series - once the print run of the third volume has sold out, it too will continue to be made available via a print on demand service, albeit minus any colour pages (which will be printed in black and white instead).

There is not currently any news on potential plans to release the fourth, or other future volumes, of the series - that may well depend upon the success of this particular endeavour.
