13/06/2012:

Seven Seas Entertainment license Alice in the Country of Joker and Crimson Empire

Two new forthcoming manga releases

Seven Seas Entertainment license Alice in the Country of Joker and Crimson Empire

North American manga distributor Seven Seas Entertainment has confirmed, via a link to an Anime News Network story, that the company has now officially licensed two additional manga series to add to their line-up.

First up, we have Alice in the Country of Joker: Circus and Liar's Game, which adapts an "otome game" visual novel into a manga form as it throws its protagonist (the titular Alice) into a prison-cum-circus that changes dependant upon the season.  It follows the license of Alice in the Country of Clover, also by Seven Seas, earlier this year.

Also snapped up is Crimson Empire, which is similarly a manga adaptation of an otome visual novel, this time detailing the life of a maid who also works as a bodguard and trained assassin for the royal family by whom she is employed.

Neither title currently has a slated release date.
