Madman Entertainment announce new Australian licenses

The weekend just gone has seen Australian distributor Madman Entertainment announce a whole slew of licenses at the Brisbane Supernova convention - as these acquisitions always tend to be a good gauge as to what is likely to be on UK distributors radar, it's well worth giving them a once over.

Indeed, a number of the licenses unveiled by the company have already been announced for a UK release - currently airing series K was confirmed, as were future releases of Blood-C, more Hellsing Ultimate and the fourth Bleach movie, Hell Verse.

Also announced however were a number of shows that are yet to be picked up or officially announced in the UK - here's the run-down:

- K-ON! The Movie - a theatrical take on the girls of the light music club as they take a post-graduation trip to London.  The film held its European premiere at Scotland Loves Anime in Glasgow.

- Magi - Another of the autumn's currently streaming autumn shows (available via Anime on Demand in the UK), which is effectively guaranteed a UK license and release at this point, so expect an announcement in the not too far-flung future!

- Blast of Tempest - Yet another autumn streaming show, this time a Studio BONES offering which is currently streaming on Crunchyroll, and can be found in our own video portal.

- Sword Art Online - Here's one more currently airing show, in the form of Aniplex's light novel adaptation set in the deadly world of a MMORPG from which there is no escape.  Again, the series is streaming through Crunchyroll and our video portal.

- Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works - A theatrical movie set in the world of Fate/Stay Night - MVM Entertainment in particular confirmed an interest in licensing this title in the future at last month's MCM London Comic Con.

It's an interesting line-up to be sure, but which of these licenses would you like to see reach the UK?  Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below!
