Manga Entertainment announce new licenses on January 2013 podcast

It's podcast time again for the good folks of Manga Entertainment, and once again they have used the opportunity to lift the lid on a whole bunch of licenses. Here's the round-up of what's been confirmed on their latest podcast (available from the MangaUK web site and iTunes):

- Hellsing - The original Hellsing series produced by GONZO will come to DVD as a four-disc box set in the second half of the year.

- Kenichi: The Mightiest Disciple - After its previous cancellation, this series will now be released over two box sets, with the first series to be released on DVD this June.

- Last Exile - The original Last Exile series, also from GONZO, will be released on DVD as a box set on June 17th. Manga Entertainment are also very likely to be releasing the show's sequel, Last Exile: Fame the Silver Wing - stay tuned for an announcement in the future!

- Lupin III: A Woman Named Fujiko Mine - Takeshi Koiike's visually striking and darker reboot of the Lupin III franchise will be released as a DVD and Blu-Ray complete collection in the third quarter of 2013.

- K-ON! The Movie - Kyoto Animation's movie featuring the light music club travelling to London gets a UK release. The film will be released on DVD and Blu-Ray later this year. Season two is also likely to be released by the company - again, wait for a future announcement!

- Loup=Garous - Production I.G.'s 2010 movie comes to the UK in the second quarter of 2013.

Other news included the release of a Fairy Tail box set containing the first four volumes on June 17th.
