A Tale of Samurai Cooking: A True Love Story is set to hit UK screens in December 2014 thanks to Yume Pictures and the Daiwa Foundation.
Kengo Kora (Story of Yonosuke) stars as a Yasunobu - a hapless samurai whose family are famous for their cooking, however he personally has no clue about food at all! Luckily, his new wife, Oharu (Aya Ueto - Thermae Romae, Azumi), is a whiz in the kitchen and vows to teach her huband a thing or two about the art of cuisine. They do say the quickest way to a man's heart is through his stomach but Yasunobu still has his set on being a warrior....
A Tale of Samurai Cooking: A True Love Story will open at the Curzon in Mayfair on 12th December 2014 with a special introduction from Japanese master chef Kaoru Yamamoto who will give a brief overview of Kaga Cuisine which plays a large role in the film. A Tale of Samurai Cooking will then continue to play at the Curzon Mayfair until 18th December 2014.
Tickets are available directly from the Curzon Website both for the premier screening with the introduction and from this page for all other screenings. For more information please check out the Daiwa Foundation website who are collaborating on the film and the trailer below!
