It's been entirely too long since we last heard anything new from Animax UK and their line-up, but the service has finally been roused from its slumber and added one of the summer season's notable series to its simulcast offerings.
That series is the summer's piece broadcast on Fuji Television's noitaminA programming block, in the form of Rampo Kitan: Game of Laplace. The series is inspired by the works of famed Japanese author Edogawa Ranpo, well known for his western-influenced mystery stories, is directed by Danganronpa and Assassination Classroom's Seiji Kishi and animated by Lerche.
The first two episodes of the show are currently available on the site (with episodes 1-8 scheduled to appear this week), and you can find them over at Animax UK. Thanks to NormanicGrav on Twitter for the heads-up.
Also coming to the service this week is Overlord, a Madhouse produced series set in the year 2138, with virtual reality gaming booming and our protagonist - known as Momonga - becoming an incredibly powerful being thanks to his refusal to log out of an online game which is about to be shut down forever. As the game world changes all around him, can he become the ruler of this strange world?
Again, the first eight episodes of the series should be available on the Animax web site and apps this week.
