If you've picked up Anime Limited's shiny new Escaflowne Ultimate Edition, and are planning to watch it in its English subtitled form, then you'll find yourself facing an issue when it comes to playing episode nine on the third disc (containing episodes 9 to 17 of the series) of the release.
Thanks to an error during final compilation of the retail edition of the disc (thus meaning that the error was caused after the QC process), subtitles that were rendering in an incorrect resolution on the episode in question, causing subtitles to be misplaced and mis-sized on-screen.
Needless to say, this is a significant issue, which has led to the distributor opening up a disc replacement programme for the affected third disc for any customer who has purchased - or will purchase - this Ultimate Edition.
If you've ordered the release via Anime Limited's own online store then the replacement Blu-ray disc will be shipped to you as soon as it is available - likely to be some time in January - while anyone who has purchased from another retailer should contact replacement@alltheanime.com with their name, address and e-mail, as well as proof of purchase and a photograph of disc three from your Escaflowne set.
