The stars didn't quite align to bring us the second half of Your Lie in April in the month which would have befitted it, but that doesn't mean that we're entirely devoid of news about the series this month.
Unfortunately the news isn't entirely good, as yesterday evening distributor Anime Limited launched a replacement programme for their Your Lie in April Part 1 Blu-ray Collector's Edition release.
The reason for this is simple enough - some buyers have had issues removing the release's Digipak from its outer box as it's proved too tight to remove without otherwise damaging the packaging.
As a result, Anime Limited are offering a free replacement copy to anyone who has purchased Part 1 of the series, with a new version of the release sporting a slightly taller, wider case to meet the original design specifications from the product and allow the Digipak within the outer case to be easily removed.
Even if you haven't had issues getting to your discs you'll still need a replacement for Part 1, as the new box size means that Part 2 won't fit into the provided collector's box unless you own the correct version.
For all of the details on the issue and how to claim your replacement copy, head over to the All the Anime Blog.
