Asian Cinema at the BFI London Film Festival 2015

Festivals, Festivals, Festivals. It never stops this time of year but now one of the biggest has finally dropped as the BFI London Film Festival announces its programme for 2015. As expected there are some pretty big hitters in the mix including the latest films from Koreeda, Naomi Kawase, and Takashi Miike plus a few animated treats like Mamoru Hosoda's The Boy and the Beast and Studio Ghibli's When Marnie was There.

South Korea:

Upcoming Third Window Films release Ruined Heart starring Tadanobu Asano will also be getting an outing at the festival (as will their aforementioned Sion Sono movie Love and Peace).

Jia Zhangke, director of Mountains Will Depart will also be in conversation with Walter Salles to discuss their new documentary, Jia Zhangke: A Guy From Fengyang

The BFI London Film Festival runs from 7th to 18th October at venues across central London. Tickets go on sale to Champion Members from 9th September, Members from 10th September and to the general public from 17th September via the official BFI London Film Festival website.
