Code Geass R2 receives minor BBFC cut for UK release

Many thanks to Twitter's Sheentaku for his eagle-eyed work in letting us know that the forthcoming UK DVD release of Code Geass R2 from Beez Entertainment has had a very minor cut made to one of its episodes at the request of the BBFC.

Episode ten of the series has received a brief one second cut from the original Japanese release, due to what the BBFC refers to as "a shot likely to encourage an interest in underage sexual activity (in this case a young girl in the background of a shot suggesting sexual activity)". Thankfully, it seems highly unlikely that this will make any difference to either this episode or the series as a whole, and the rest of Code Geass R2's first three-disc release has escaped uncut, but it may still be an irritation to the absolute purists when it comes to watching uncut anime.
