Crunchyroll adds another quartet of spring 2014 simulcasts

After a slow start, we're now enjoying a flood of UK simulcast announcements from Crunchyroll, and yesterday brought us another four additions to their spring streaming line-up, all of which are reaching our shores.  Here's what's new to the service's offering:

Magica WarsGAINAX might not be the powerhouse they once were, and perhaps that's signified by their choice of project for the spring, as they bring media franchise Magica Wars to the small screen in animated form.  From its beginnings as an iOS and browser game, the gimmick within this franchise is that each magical girl within its confines represent one of Japan's forty-seven prefectures, complete with a voice actress who hails from that prefecture - that aside, you can probably guess how this series works, featuring lots of magical girls battling evil forces.

The first instalment of this series of short episodes is already online, with new episodes airing every Tuesday at 4PM UK time from this Crunchyroll page.

No Game No Life - One of Madhouse's efforts for the spring is on-going fantasy adventure series No Game No Life (which has recently had its manga adaptation acquired by Seven Seas Entertainment).  The series follows a pair of sibling shut-ins who also happen to be legendary and supposedly undefeated gamers.  It's this reputation that sees them transferred into a fantasy world where everything is decided by games, and where this brother and sister team will have to win to save humanity itself.

The series begins today, Wednesday April 9th, with episodes airing at 4:30PM to this Crunchyroll page.

Kanojo ga Flag wo Oraretara (If Her Flag Breaks)Hoods Entertainment take the helm for this harem romantic comedy light novel adaptation, the story of a boy who can see the future of those around him by way of "flags" which appear.  The trouble is, his own flag suggests that he's going to die, leaving him to assemble some talented individuals (who are, of course, all female) to help him change his fate.

This series also begins today, Wednesday April 9th, with episodes streaming every Wednesday at 8PM from this Crunchyroll page.

Chaika - The Coffin PrincessStudio Bones adapt this fantasy series which begins with a retired soldier who one day runs into a young sorceress and decides to follow her on her journey, which leads them into all sorts of adventures.

Again, the show begins today, Wednesday April 9th, with episodes airing each week at 6:30PM UK time from this Crunchyroll page.

Will you be following any of these series over the coming months?  Let us know in the comments, and don't forget that you can keep up with the current UK streaming schedule via the UK Anime release calendar.
