Crunchyroll releases iPad application

Crunchyroll releases iPad application

While we won't be officially seeing the iPad available on these shores until the end of the month, when they do finally turn up here it appears as though we'll be able to enjoy streaming anime web site Crunchyroll's content in all its glory, as the company has now launched an iPad version of their application to complement the existing app for the iPhone and iPod Touch.

The application in question is free to download and gives you access to all of the usual Crunchyroll video content, including the latest episodes for Premium Members. At present HD video streams aren't supported and only a WiFi connection can be used to stream episodes (meaning no 3G support just yet), but Crunchyroll will be looking to add this functionality at a later date.

If you've managed to snag an iPad (or are planning to), then you can find the app available for download on iTunes.
