Crunchyroll streams Drifters and more this autumn

We're slowly moving towards the end of the current flood of autumn season simulcasts but we're certainly not done yet, and yesterday brought another batch of titles our way. Let's take a look over them, shall we?

Drifters - From the creator and team behind Hellsing comes a thrilling story where history and fantasy collide. Shimazu Toyohisa, a famous samurai who fought in the historical Battle of Sekigahara, is transported to another world when only moments from death. From that moment on, he becomes part of a group known as “Drifters” and is forced to battle against other legendary warriors in an ultimate death game.

The series airs on Fridays, with episodes arriving at 3:30PM UK time.

Soul Buster - Keishuu, China. The history books say that in the era of the Three Kingdoms, this land was a place of never-ending war. A young high school boy, Sonshin, who hates his city's history, is troubled by a certain dream. When he wakes up from the dream, strange things begin to happen one after another, and without understanding what's going on, he suddenly finds himself facing Gien, one of the generals from the Romance of the Three Kingdoms, who's trying to kill him! Just before Gien's blade strikes home, a mysterious beautiful woman appears in front of Sonshin. What trials await Sonshin, as he witnesses this terrible battle between two generals of the Three Kingdoms?

No news on the show's launch date as of yet, but we'll keep you posted.

Lostorage Incited WIXOSS - In Lostorage incited WIXOSS, high school student Homura Suzuko has returned to Ikebukuro, the town where she grew up.

"We're friends forever!" She treasures her memories of her old friend from when she was little, Morikawa Chinatsu, and she's excited at the prospect of meeting her again. But when she gets to school, she finds she has trouble fitting in with the rest of the class.

One day, she decides that if she learns to play the card game Wixoss, she might be able to make some friends. She stops at a card shop on her way home and buys a deck set. When she takes the set home and opens it, the girl on one of the cards begins to move, and speak.

"Welcome, Selector." Humans chosen as Selectors must battle for control of the five coins that hold all their memories. If they can retake all the coins, they win, and can leave the game. But if they lose, as a penalty-- "Lostorage"-- What will become of Suzuko as she's caught up in this insane game? And just like Suzuko, Chinatsu finds herself drawn into the game as well...

The series begins today, 7th October, with episodes airing on Fridays at 6:30PM UK time each week.

ClassicaLoid - Kanae and Sosuke are two high-school students living in the suburbs in Japan where music flourishes. One day, they encounter Beethoven and Mozart, two suspicious men who call themselves ClassicaLoids. The “Musik” they play have mysterious powers, such as causing meteor showers and summoning giant robots. Kanae and Sosuke’s daily lives suddenly turn chaotic! Adding to the commotion are the appearances of other ClassicaLoids such as Bach, Chopin, Liszt, and Schubert. What is the big secret behind their powers? And are they a threat to humankind, or could they be saviors?

The series, which also streams on The Anime Network, launches on Crunchyroll tomorrow, Saturday 8th October, with episodes airing every week at 12PM UK time.

Flip Flappers - Cocona is a model honor student, cautious and slow to embrace new opportunities. This makes life complicated when a mysterious girl named Papika suddenly appears, fearlessly searching for a wish-granting crystal called the "Shard of Mimi." When fates collide and they're given the ability to transform into powerful fairy-like beings, where will the dangerous journey into "Pure Illusion" take them?

Episode one of the series, which is also streaming on The Anime Network and Viewster, is already available on Crunchyroll. Episodes air every Thursday at 2PM UK time.
