Crunchyroll streams Gintama, School Girl Strikers and Kemono Friends this winter

Another day means another batch of Crunchyroll simulcasts, although let's first begin with some bad news for UK subscribers to the service - romantic comedy Seiren is the first winter simulcast not to make it to our shores; we're region locked out of that one.

In brighter news, here what we are getting this winter:

School Girl Strikers - The newly established private high school for girls, Goryoukan Academy, has a hidden face that people on the outside don't know about... Mysterious apparitions called "Oburi" have appeared from a rift in space-time. The only ones capable of fighting this enemy of mankind are girls known as "Strikers," who have the ability to sense the fifth dimension. Goryoukan Academy is actually an organization that seeks out girls who are more than meets the eye and trains them up for the "Fifth Force," a combat force created to subjugate the Oburi. The story of the battles and friendships of five girls who comprise the newly assembled team "Altair Torte" is about to begin!

Episode one lands on Friday, 6th January, with episodes airing weekly at 5:30PM.

Gintama Season 4 -In a world where aliens have invaded Edo Period Japan, skyscrapers, trains and motor bikes have replaced the simple life of Earth inhabitants. One man however, still carries the soul of a samurai, Gintoki Sakata, otherwise known as Yorozuya Gin-san. As reckless as he is, Gintoki carries his own resolve and is ready to take on any challenge with his fellow companions.

This beloved comedy returns on Sunday, 8th January, with episodes arriving weekly at 7:35PM UK time.

Kemono Friends - The story takes place in Japari Park, an enormous integrated zoo built somewhere in this world. A mysterious substance found there, called "Sand Star," causes the animals to turn into humanoid beings called "Animal Girls"! These new creatures spend every day peacefully with the zoo's visitors... but after some time, a lost child turns up in the park. The child's attempt to find the way home turns into a great adventure with the Animal Girls!

The show starts on January 10th, with episodes airing every Tuesday at 7:05PM UK time.
