Kiki's Delivery Service coming to UK Blu-Ray this May?

Kiki's Delivery Service coming to UK Blu-Ray this May?

Posted 01/03/2013

As Studio Ghibli continue to remaster and rerelease their back catalogue on Blu-Ray, the end of last year saw both Only Yesterday and Kiki's Delivery Service enjoy a Japanese High Definition release, leaving us to count the days until at least one of those two films reaches the UK.

It appears that day is now nigh, as the eagle-eyed Otaku News have noted that Kiki's Delivery Service has now appeared on Amazon UK as a DVD and Blu-Ray combo pack, with a slated release date of Monday, May 27th, a date which also looks set to see a DVD/Blu-Ray combo release of the delayed Grave of the Fireflies.  There's no sign of Only Yesterday at present, but we can only hope that STUDIOCANAL also choose to release this film in High Definition rather than skipping it.

Will you be picking up this release in its shiny new High Definition format?  Let us know in the comments!
