It's been a good year for anime films at this year's Annecy International Film Festival, with two movies - both of which have been snapped up for UK screenings later this year - picking up awards at the event.
First up, Masaaki Yuasa's Lu Over the Wall picked up the Cristal for a Feature Film award - the first anime film to win the award since Pom Poko in 1995. The film is due for release in UK cinemas via Anime Limited on December 6th 2017.
Elsewhere, Sunao Katabuchi's In This Corner of the World earned itself the Jury Award in the feature film category. The film, set in Hiroshima during the latter stages of World War II, arrives in UK cinemas later this month courtesy of Animatsu Entertainment from 28th June 2017.
