It's been a busy day on Manga's official Twitter account, with a number of annoucements sprouting from the company like the first buds of spring.
First up are a handful of new license acquisitions - Firstly, the company will be releasing live-action movie Kamui Garden on both DVD and Blu-Ray on August 2nd, with Manga also hoping to give the film a theatrical run in late June. Also on the live-action front, Chanbara Striptease and Tokyo Gore School have been licensed for release at an as-yet unknown time.
Returning to anime, Manga have also picked up Sengoku Basara (aka Samurai Kings), which should see a DVD release on October 4th, with an online streaming presence on the Manga UK web site before that.
The second season of Ah! My Goddess will be released in a series of three dual DVD sets, which should appear on retail shelves in May, July and September respectively.
Finally, the much-anticipated first thirteen episodes of Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood will begin streaming in the UK soon, while these episodes will gain a DVD release on August 23rd. At the moment Manga haven't completely ruled out a Blu-Ray release of this series alongside the DVD launch, but notes that it would take a lot of potential sales (over 3,000) to convince them to go down this route due to manufacturing costs. So, if you want to buy the new Fullmetal Alchemist series on Blu-Ray, be sure to let Manga Entertainment know!
