Naruto aplenty

New Releases (02/04/2012)

Now that we've successfully navigated April Fool's Day without getting needlessly excited over things which don't actually exist, we're safe to take a look over the week's new releases.

In terms of anime, this Monday is all about Naruto, with Manga Entertainment bringing us plenty of movie magic featuring everyone's favourite ninja. The week's most notable release is therefore Naruto Shippuden The Movie 2: Bonds, released today on both DVD and Blu-Ray - check out our review of the film on both formats over here. Also available to purchase today is a Naruto Shippuden Movie Double Pack containing both the first and second films in a single collection on either DVD or Blu-Ray, with the latter marking the first release of the original Naruto Shippuden film in High Definition - we've reviewed that Blu-Ray release right here.

With Easter falling across next weekend, that means that it's a new release free zone next Monday in terms of anime releases.

This week also brings us a tasty selection of new manga releases to enjoy, with Seven Seas Entertainment offering up Gunslinger Girl's fourth omnibus edition as perhaps the week's highlight. Also released this week are new volumes of Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, Skip Beat and Slam Dunk, more instalments of Arisa and Cage of Eden, and Yen Press brings us the second part of their Kieli: The Sunlit Garden Where it Began novel.
