New Releases - 26th June 2017

Another month draws to a close, but June has chosen to go out in a blaze of glory in terms of UK anime releases, with plenty to look forward to today. So, let's not waste any time and see what's on the docket, shall we?

First out of the gates today is Anime Limited and their release of The Anthem of the Heart as a DVD/Blu-ray Collector's Edition from all of the usual retailers, although Zavvi does have an exclusive variant with different cover art if it tickles your fancy. We've reviewed the film right here for you, and also have a video look at this Collector's Edition to boot.

Also arriving today is Charlotte Part 1 as a DVD/Blu-ray Collector's Edition or DVD Standard Edition - again, we've reviewed the first half of this Jun Maeda-penned series, and you can read our thoughts on this page.

Lastly from Anime Limited, and in a very different vein, they also bring us the psychedelic cult classis Belladonna of Sadness to the UK on Blu-ray today - check out our thoughts on the film via this review.

Elsewhere, Anime Limited have a hand in distributing another Funimation title, as the Attack on Titan: Junior High Complete Series Collection towers over us on DVD and Blu-ray. Review is forthcoming very soon!

Finally, we move on to MVM Entertainment, as they revisit young love with the Amagami SS+ Plus Complete Series Collection on DVD and Blu-ray. Again, we'll have a review soon for you!

It's a reasonably quiet week for new manga and light novels, although we do have the first half of Nisemonogatari landing as a particular highlight - you can check out the full list below.

Next week, another slice of Fairy Tail lands, the first half of God Eater makes an appearance, and the Psycho-Pass movie gets a standard edition. We'll catch you then!
