New Releases - November 24th 2014

Written by A. H. on 24 Nov 2014

If last week was quiet, then this week is positively packed with new releases, so grab yourself a cup of coffee and take a deep breath, as here we go!

Let's begin with MVM Entertainment - although The Garden of Sinners DVD movie collection has been pushed back again - into mid-December  - thanks to a continued delay to its packaging production, today does see the classic Samurai Champloo arrive in the UK on Blu-ray as a complete series collection, while Bakemonogatari also sees its two volumes compiled into a DVD and Blu-ray complete series collection to boot - read our reviews of those individual volumes here and here.

Speaking of the Monogatari franchise, it's a good day for fans of Arararagi (oops, I stuttered) and company, as Nekomonogatari White appears on DVD and Blu-ray today - why not read our glowing review of this release over here?

Also released today is The Blast of Tempest's previously delayed first volume on DVD - our review of this release can be found right here.

Meanwhile, Manga Entertainment provide a hair-raising start to the week with Bayonetta: Bloody Fate, an anime adaptation of the popular video game which arrives in DVD and Blu-ray Steelbook editions today. Watch out for our review soon!

Also from Manga Entertainment this week are the first two instalments of Ghost in the Shell ARISE, courtesy of its Borders 1 and 2 Collection on DVD and Blu-ray, our review of which can be found here.

Next up is Anime Limited, whose delayed (and more importantly fixed) Blu-ray release of their Kill la Kill - Part 1 Collector's Edition turns up in retail. You can find our review of this very release over here.

Last but certainly not least is STUDIOCANAL, who bring Hayao Miyazaki's Oscar-winning Spirited Away to the UK in remastered High Definition as a DVD and Blu-ray DoublePlay pack.

After all of that little lot, we should perhaps be thankful that there isn't much to speak of in the way of new manga, with new volumes of Fairy TailCardfight! Vanguard and Xxxholic Rei the only newcomers here.

Looking forward to next week, Patema Inverted's standard edition is due to arrive, as is the fifth Naruto Shippuden movie. Until next time, take care!
