Two new Region 1 titles for November

Sentai Filmworks license Uta Kata and Taisho Baseball Girls

If you've been following the fortunes of North American anime distributor Sentai Filmworks, then you'll probably be used to their monthly unveiling of forthcoming releases which often includes a new license or two.

With that in mind, the company has now announced their slated releases for November, which includes a pair of new license acquisitions for the company.

First up is Uta∽Kata, a magical girl series which very much goes against most of the tropes of that genre to target a more mature audience and more adult themes along with it. This seems to have whipped up quite a fan frenzy amongst hardcore anime fans, so it could well be worth keeping your eyes peeled for when the entire series is released on DVD in the US on November 2nd.

New license number two is Taisho Baseball Girls (aka Taishou Yakyuu Musume to give its Japanese broadcast name), the feel-good slice-of-life story of a group of Taisho-era schoolgirls who go on to form their own baseball team at a time when doing such a thing was very much frowned upon. Can they really beat the boys at their own game? You'll have to watch the series upon its November 16th release to find out.

New announcements aside, November also sees Sentai Filmworks release the second half of Xam'd on both DVD and Blu-Ray on November 9th, the first part of Ghost Sweeper Mikami on DVD for November 23rd, and the second half of Hell Girl: Three Vessels to close the month on the 30th.
