Seven Seas acquire Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid and NTR: Netsuzou Trap

Written by A. H. on 13 Dec 2015

We've now come to the end of Seven Seas Entertainment's epic December haul of license announcements, so let's cover off those final manga acquisitions, although not before mentioning that the publisher has also picked up zombie apocalypse survival guide Land of the Rising Dead: A Tokyo School Girl’s Guide To Surviving the Zombie Apocalypse.

The final two manga acquisitions from the publisher however are Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid, the story of an office lady who ends up with a dragon girl for a maid which is due to begin publication in English from October 18th 2016; and also yuri manga series NTR: Netsuzou Trap, which begins with a double date where the girls end up taking more interest in one another, which will see its English language publication begin on September 20th 2016.

Here's more on both series for your perusal:

Seven Seas is At Your Service with License of Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid

Seven Seas Entertainment is excited to announce the acquisition of Coolkyoushinja's modern-day monster fantasy, Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid. A delightful, ongoing comedy manga series about a young lady who, after saving a dragon’s life, finds herself the object of its overbearing affection, Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid features a cast of colorful supernatural characters, and is the perfect book for fans of Monster Musume and Merman in my Tub.

Miss Kobayashi is your average office worker who lives a boring life, alone in her small apartment–until she saves the life of a female dragon in distress. The dragon, named Tohru, has the ability to magically transform into an adorable human girl (albeit with horns and a long tail!), who will do anything to pay off her debt of gratitude, whether Miss Kobayashi likes it or not. With a very persistent and amorous dragon as a roommate, nothing comes easy, and Miss Kobayashi’s normal life is about to go off the deep end!

"We're all big fans of monster girls but really wanted to mix things up a bit," said Seven Seas publisher Jason DeAngelis. "Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid is just what we were looking for. It's got its own unique sense of humor, a female-centric cast of characters—human and dragon alike—with a touch of yuri, and Miss Kobayashi herself, a likable and relatable office worker just looking to get through the day."

Seven Seas will published Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid for the first time in print in North America as single volumes. Each book will contain at least two full-color inserts. Volume one of Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid will be released on October 18, 2016 for $12.99 USA / $14.99 CAN.

Seven Seas Goes Beyond Romance with License of NTR: Netsuzou Trap

Seven Seas Entertainment is excited to announce their acquisition of Kodama Naoko's yuri manga series, NTR: Netsuzou Trap. A dramatic tale of romance, lust, and betrayal, as two young woman explore their growing feelings for one another, NTR: Netsuzou Trap features stunning artwork and a romantic storyline that oozes with erotic tension.

Yuma and Hotaru have been friends since childhood. It is only natural that when Yuma is nervous about her new boyfriend, she asks Hotaru and her boyfriend along for a double date. But when Hotaru offers herself to Yuma as “practice”, both girls realize that they’re more interested in each other than they are in their own boyfriends. With boyfriends in the foreground but a secret, passionate tryst in the background, will Yuma and Hotaru try to forget what happened between them or have they fallen into a trap of true love and betrayal?

"Our readers and fans have been clamoring for more yuri," said Seven Seas publisher Jason DeAngelis. "NTR is one of the best-known yuri titles currently running in Japan, and we think Kodama Naoko’s dramatic storytelling along with her beautiful artwork will make this a hit with readers who have enjoyed Citrus."

Seven Seas will present NTR: Netsuzou Trap for the first time in print in North America as single volume editions, each at a larger trim size, containing at least one full-color insert. The first volume of NTR: Netsuzou Trap will be released on September 20, 2016 for $13.99 USA / $15.99 CAN.
