We've all seen the notable increase in (often highly profitable) movie editions of popular anime franchises in recent years, and thus it's no surprise to see another film project in their vein getting an announcement via its light novel source material this week.
The series in question is The Irregular at Magic High School (aka Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei), with the Japanese release of volume 19 of said light novel series proudly announcing that a movie adaptation is now in the works.
There's no further details at present so we don't know when to expect the film, or indeed whether it'll be adapting some of the source material or presenting an original story, but fans of this science-fiction fantasy series will doubtless be chomping at the bit to cast their eyeballs over whatever adventures series protagonist Tatsuya embroils himself in.
The TV anime adaptation of the series is currently available in the UK on Netflix.
