Weekly Shonen Jump comes to the UK in digital form

Weekly Shonen Jump comes to the UK in digital form

Posted 04/07/2013

For quite some time now we've been lamenting the lack of any real digital manga availability from Viz Media here in the UK, but how's this for a turnaround in that situation?

At their Anime Expo panel in Los Angeles, the manga powerhouse announced that they are extending the availability of Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in digital form into five new territories, one of which is none other than the UK (and Ireland, we should also mention)!

The magazine will now be available to users of iOS devices via Apple's Newsstand app - individual issues can be purchased for 0.69p, or you can subscribe to the magazine for £1.99 a month.  Availability of the magazine on Android devices in the UK is currently in the works, and will be "coming soon".

Unfortunately, UK users with a subscription won't be able to view back issues of the magazine, but the July 1st issue is now available for purchase if you want to check it out!

Are you excited at the prospect of seeing Shonen Jump in the UK digitally?  Let us know in the comments!
