OK, so off the top of my head I know of the following Idol groups:

AKB48 (plus all the other /48 groups)

Sakura Gakuin (plus all the sub groups)

    ℃-ute

    Morning Musume

    SCK Girls

    ---------

And am just wondering if anyone has any suggestions of good groups to listen to

Wash your mouth out. Perfume aren't an idol group.....They're the idol group. ;)

Surprised none of the girls/women/pixies on this forum have yet mentioned any of the male idol bands (though the big ones seem to be grown up now).

I can't help as it's not my scene, even with my eclectic tastes and Baby Metal should not really count <enter devil horns emote here>

I'm interested in if Babymetal are still Sakura Gakuin's Heavy Music Club

Even though all the members have graduated from Sakura Gakuin (and are no longer in other clubs like Twinklestars) the Heavy Music Club wasn't disbanded.

Either way, why wouldn't they count?

Because Suzuka Nakamoto officially graduated from Sakura Gakuin and the agency decided to spin Baby Metal off as a separate act. I need to make up my mind soon about whether to see them next year or not :)
