I'd like to think that there are enough passionate and talented individuals left at the studio to want to continue producing movies, or at least short films and other content, but from a business perspective Ghibli could easily continue to make plenty of money from their museum and existing properties without the risks inherent in making new films.

It's going to be an interesting year or two for the studio, that's for sure.

A bigger gap in between releases. We've had at least one film released each year since 2010. I can see Ghibli going back to the days of having a two or three year gap in between films.

As long as Ghibli sticks around, I'll be happy.

It'd be interesting seeing Ghibli do a tv series like how Satoshi Kon did Paranoia Agent.

Good things come to those who wait. I'd rather see them take time on their films even if they are years apart.

Personally I'd like more action ones like laputa.
