Having announced their acquistion of the anime adaptation of classic manga series Parasyte at the MCM London Comic Con last weekend, UK distributor Animatsu Entertainment have today confirmed that they have also picked up the rights to the first of two live-action Parasyte movies.
It's for this reason that the film will be screening at the Edinburgh International Film Festival on June 25th and 26th as we reported yesterday.
There's no further news on the first film's release strategy beyond this brief announcement and those theatrical screenings, but we can only imagine that a home video release will follow at some point.
Are you excited at the prospect of being able to check out this movie? Let us know in the comments.
