Author: Seb Reid

Seb has been an anime fan since the late 90s and is particularly fond of anything post-apocalyptic, amusing, catgirly, ecchi or containing exquisite aerial battles. Living in Leeds with his cats and living up the bachelor life, Seb enjoys whiling the nights away deep in a book, game or a damn good series.

We are almost at the end of what has proved to be a long path of violence, childhood name calling and continuous stroking of manhood fleshes and now, the end is in sight.

Volume 5 sets the scene for the final battle between those who are intent on controlling the altar users of the Lost Ground, and that intend to protect their freedoms and their families. HOLY gets completely and utterly screwed over with the headquaters being completely decimated and the majority of its altar forces mutinying, oh, and other bad stuff happens as well. This volume does see the combining forces of all the holy and the free altar users together on an attack against the influences of the mainland. It brings in new revelations about some of the as yet unseen capabilities of some of the characters.

Long story short, this is the big one. This is the volume which ties the stories together and leads into the final episodes which, predictably enough, are the “Final Battle” episodes.

So what does this all mean to us? Put simply the series is going to end with a bang, and, I predict a happy ending as well.

I am intentionally keeping this review vague. Mostly for the cause of the spoiler fairy with the giant plank of wood, but secondly, for the fact that so much actually does happen, I am having troubles recalling it all. It may not be Shakespeare, but god damn is it entertaining.
