A brand new adaptation of Hiro Mashima's space epic arrives in digital form courtesy of Konami, who have announced a release date of July 15th for the 3D free-roaming adventure for PS5, Xbox and PC.

The game appears to offer the use of the series' Ether Gear, vehicles and other powers found throughout the series, with colourful graphics and the return of the original voice cast.

We enjoyed Edens Zero, it's a surprisingly layered series with a charming cast and some neat ideas, so a game based on the series is welcome. The ability to switch characters should give us some varied gameplay elements. Take a look at the trailer and see if you want to pre-order a copy with bonuses that vary dependant on platform.

From the Press Release:

In EDENS ZERO, players tap into a character’s innate power and wield it through Ether Gear while they relive key moments from the original story. Shiki is living in the dream kingdom of Granbell, surrounded by machines when he meets the first visitors to the planet in 100 years, streamer Rebecca and her blue cat, Happy.

This new group of friends now sets out on adventure to find the planet sized “Mother”.

Their adventure will entail overcoming powerful foes, making new friends, and exploring the universe on the Edens Zero spacecraft left behind by the machine Ziggy, who acted as his father and who was also known as 'Demon King'. Get ready to dive into an exciting story packed with powerful action!

Digital pre-order and physical Day One Edition bonuses include Pino’s Attire “Hunter Attire” and accessories that vary dependent on platform. Those that purchase the digital Deluxe Edition will be granted 72 hours Early Access as a pre-order bonus. Additionally, the physical Deluxe Edition includes a Lacrima set, Starter Item pack, Gaming Equipment Set (Male) and Cyber Equipment Set (Female).
