Amazon Video UK simulcasts three spring 2017 titles

Written by A. H. on 13 Apr 2017

We've been talking a lot about Crunchyroll's streaming offerings for the currently airing spring season, but one thing we haven't discussed here is Amazon's increasing presense in the simulcast market.

Of course, this ramp-up in activities is most notable in North America, where the online retail powerhouse has launched their Anime Strike service as an additional subscription over and above Amazon Prime, and off the back of this the company has bolstered their existing deal for noitaminA titles but doing business to bring Sentai Filmworks simulcasts under their banner.

Unfortunately, things are less cut and dried here in the UK - with no word of an Anime Strike release outside of the US, we have at least found ourselves gaining access to some, but not all, of the titles snapped up for the spring season.

Thus, let's dip into what is available to Amazon Prime subscribers this spring on Amazon Video UK:

Rage of Bahamut: Virgin SoulThis is the land of Mistarcia where gods and demons walk among mankind. It has been ten years since the world escaped oblivion from Bahamut's awakening. The new king of man has attacked the shrine of the gods and conquered the demon nation.Demons have been enslaved, and the power of the gods has waned. In a world losing its balance, mankind, gods, and demons clash to find justice.

Episode one is available now, with future instalments airing weekly on Saturdays.

Re:CREATORSPeople have created many stories. Joy, sadness, anger, deep emotion. Stories stir up emotion and captivate. However, those emotions are nothing more than the feelings of a spectator. What if the characters in the stories had their own“will”? In their eyes, are we, the creators of the stories, like gods? Revolution for our world. Punishment for the land of the gods. Re:CREATORS. Everyone becomes a Creator.

Episode one is available now, with new instalments added every Saturday.

Saekano♭ How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend.flatGeeky high school student Tomoya Aki meets Megumi Kato one day in spring and becomes consumed with the idea of turning this normal girl into the main heroine of his visual novel game. He forms the development team Blessing Software with friends and they manage to get one route finished. With the upcoming Winter Comiket in two months, will they be able to finish the game in time?!

Episode 0 of the series is available now, with new episodes airing moving forward every Thursday.

If any further simulcasts crop up on Amazon as we journey deeper into its depths, we'll be sure to keep you posted!
