Amazon confirms UK release of Samurai Bride

Coming to DVD and Blu-ray in late January

Written by A. H. on 25 Oct 2014

We aren't sure whether this is amongst the slate of license announcements to be unveiled at London Comic Con this weekend, but eagle-eyed forum user skippy has pointed out an addition to Amazon UK's listings that perhaps gives us an advance notification of one of these new licenses.

The series in question is Samurai Bride, the follow on from Samurai Girls, which was released by Kazé back in early 2012. This second season continues in its adaptation of the light novel series set in an alternate reality modern era Japan that just so happens to contain girls named after famous samurai.

The series is listed on Amazon UK for both a DVD and Blu-ray release, with a release date of January 26th 2015. The distributor for the release is listed as Manga Entertainment, although it may be the case that they are simply handling distribution for Kazé.

Needless to say, we'll keep our eyes peeled for more information, but are you excited at the prospect of a UK release for this show?
