Anime Limited license Space Dandy

Licensed for English and French-speaking countries in Europe

Written by A. H. on 05 Dec 2013

We had a feeling it was coming, but according to an Anime News Network story about the debut of Shinichiro Watanabe's space comedy Space Dandy next January, English distributor Anime Limited is listed as holding the rights to this much-anticipated new series in both English and French-speaking European territories.

The series, which will be dubbed into English by FUNimation Entertainment, will be simulcast alongside its Japanese broadcast to a number of countries, and UK viewers will be able to watch the series on Wakanim in both subtitled and dubbed forms, with a DVD and Blu-Ray release to follow later in 2014 - good news indeed for fans of Mr. Watanabe's work!

EDIT: Anime Limited have now published their press release confirming this license and more release details.
